Specializations

  • Life Transitions

Often, we find ourselves at a crossroads between who we are and who we want to be, what career direction we wish to pursue, and whether we are satisfied with the way our lives and relationships look. I work with adults struggling with commitment, fear of failure, and finding direction to provide a safe space for self-exploration and personal growth.

  • Overcoming Trauma and Shame

Enduring a traumatic event or experience can leave survivors feeling unsafe in their own body. Trauma quite literally changes brain structure and causes difficulty in regulating emotions, sleep hygiene, chronic feelings of shame, emotional numbing, memory issues, and addictive behavior. I work with clients through a trauma-informed lens to create safety, understand their triggers, and provide tools to heal. Healing can feel like a loose term so it essentially comes down to processing the emotions and meaning derived from the event(s), mourning (the change of self and/or loss of loved ones), redefining oneself, and living in the present.

  • Couples Therapy

In addition to individual therapy, I recognize the importance of nurturing healthy and fulfilling relationships. As a marriage and family therapist, my expertise extends to couples therapy, where I focus on helping couples build or rebuild strong foundations, improve communication, enhance intimacy, and work through challenges. Whether you are facing conflicts, adjusting to change, or seeking premarital support, I aim to guide clients towards a more harmonious connection.

I often integrate behavioral homework and recommend specific interventions to improve communication so that you can get back to feeling like you’re on the same team.
